Daily goalApp → More → 1–50 abyāt a day, set per matn. Each card shows Goal today.
Opening the appThe al-Asl star beats while the app settles. Tap it to go straight through.
Live coursesWhen al-Asl Institute has a course coming up on one of these mutūn, a card appears on Home with the dates, the times in your own timezone, and a link to the course details. It is announced once when you open the app; close the card and a small Live course badge stays on the matn it belongs to. Everything disappears by itself once the course has finished.

Book buttonAn explanation of that bayt. Where one is written in more than one language, a small EN / اردو / ع switch chooses — and the choice sticks.
Qirāʾāt cardShāṭibiyyah. The ۞ button gives the āyah, the disputed word, and who among the seven reads it how (your Ḥafṣ marked). General chapters give a rule card, explanatory ones a commentary (شرح) card. Arabic, English or Urdu.
NuskhaJazariyyah. Abyāt that differ between nuskhas carry ⇄ — compare them side by side. Pick your nuskha in ⋯ More. Recitations follow the nuskha they were recorded in.
CopyArabic, the translations you have showing, and a reference.
PDF⋯ More → Arabic only, or Arabic + English.
A button appears only where its content is ready. Translations and explanations are checked bayt by bayt, so more turn up over time.
Finding your place›
ChaptersType a chapter name (no diacritics) or a number. A bayt number gives Go to bayt N — it lands there and flashes. Long mutūn start collapsed; Show all chapters opens the grid.
Chapter lengthOn every Contents card and repeated in the chapter’s own header.
SearchAny part of a bayt or a chapter title, in Arabic, no diacritics. A matching title brings up its whole chapter.
RibbonTap a bayt’s ribbon. On the website Home gathers them from every matn; in the app that is the Marginalia tab, with your notes alongside.
PenTap the pen; the note sits under the bayt. The Notes button lists that matn’s. Both are hidden in Memorize mode — and untouched.
Memorizing (ḥifẓ)›
StartMemorize in the top bar, on Home, or the app’s Memorize tab. One chapter at a time, words hidden.
Hide 1–41 last word · 2 second half · 3 first word only · 4 everything. Raise it as abyāt stick.
CheckTap a blank, or the bayt number, to reveal — then ✓ Got it or ↺ Review.
MasteredTwo correct passes, or one at level 4.
BadgeThe bayt number rings: learning · mastered · due. Always the matn’s own colour.

While loopingTap any bayt in range to jump the loop there, settings kept. The screen stays awake. The website adds a player bar; the app has none.
RecitersShaykha Hind al-Maṭarī and Shaykh Osama bin Abdul Aziz — both muqriʾ of the ten qirāʾāt, ṣughrā and kubrā. The player names who you are hearing.
Kept as you listenThe abyāt a loop is about to reach are fetched before you get there and kept on the device — so it keeps its footing on a weak connection, and the second time round needs no connection at all.
OfflineText, translations and fonts save by themselves. Recitations are a download, never taken without asking: the first time you play audio in a matn you are offered the rest of it, with the size shown. In the app you can also take it from ⋯ More → Download recitations. One matn at a time, and it stays saved across updates.

Where it livesThis device only. No account, nothing to sign into. Bookmarks, notes, memorization and appearance all save by themselves.
Move itYour progress → ↓ Back up (copy, share, or save a file), then ↑ Restore on the other device. Carries mastery, review schedule, bookmarks and notes.
“won’t be saved”The browser is blocking storage. In-app browser (Instagram, WhatsApp) → its ⋯ → Open in browser. Private/Incognito → a normal window. Blocked site data → allow mutun.al-asl.com.
